The Great Milestone Destroys Babylon: Some Cry: Some Rejoice

Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy
apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you
on her. And a mighty angel took up a stone like
a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying,
Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon
be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers,
and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee;
and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall
be found any more in thee; and the sound of a
millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
and the light of a candle shall shine no more at all
in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of
the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee:
 for thy merchants were the great men of the earth;
for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. And
in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints,
and of all that were slain upon the earth.
Revelation 18:20-24

     The fall of Babylon brings great joy and rejoicing, in heaven and on the earth as this fall was irrevocable towards Babylon. The people who were and are associated with Babylon cry over the loss of their means for riches, fame, and a luxurious lifestyle. The bewail the loss but the Bride of Christ rejoice. What is a milestone? It is a stone functioning as a milepost and a significant event or point in development (Webster's Dictionary). This casting of a milestone is an even as never seen before and to be cast into the sea, the sea representing mankind is a great event affecting mankind. This casting of the milestone is functioning violently towards Babylon, this great city, and this city is cast down into oblivion never to rise again. What rejoicing this brings to Authentic Christians. All the bells and whistles, those events whereby men and women act out as though they were doing the will of God by sardonic laughter, acting drunk in the spirit, to roll around like an epileptic, preaching and making merry with those who are more of this world dressing like this world, making music like this world, all gone to be heard no longer and the sound of this great event of the milestone being cast down into the sea and its great sound will be heard no longer.
     Those men who idolatrously worshiped the apostles, men of old and those who claim to be apostles in our day and tacitly are honored see Babylon for what she is and was and rejoice of her fall, but, they believe that this fall of Babylon gave them vindication for all that they have done and said, their false gospel. Yes, this fall of Babylon in some way vindicated God, but God does not need vindication for He is God, the Just God, and needs not vindication but demands that His justice be satisfied. First He did this by sending Jesus to be our Savior, and now by the destruction of those who contend with Him and will not obey Him. This fall was an act of justice. God by this casting of the milestone into the sea is avenging all that was done against His true followers. Now the time for recompense was due against all those controversies against the people of God, against His word being ravaged by heresy. God is patient, but His patience is not permission and God will not allow sin to continue without His final judgment against sin and sinners. All those making merchandise by and through Babylon no longer have her for their business and by their business they caused heretical spiritual ideologies and theologies to pervade into the lives of people. God is bringing them to destruction.
     We should take warning! With this warning we should set our affections on things above. Jesus Christ is the above Who sits on the throne, Who has saved all who truly repent and believe upon Him. Sitting on the right hand of God means that Jesus is performing God's justice, it was Jesus Who created all things and this by His right hand, and it this Jesus by the right hand of God brings destruction and justice. We should have comfort in knowing that our God and Savior will not forever allow this Babylon the Great to continue to bring persecution against His people. We live in a time when this Babylon the Great has wielded great influence in the Church and upon nations and we may be dismayed as to the time it is taking for God to act to save us from this city. We are not God! We do not see things as God sees things. We cannot know everything that needs to be accomplished before God casts a milestone into the sea. But we do know this: we must deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow Him: NO MATTER WHAT!

Thus saith the LORD of hosts,
    the God of Israel, Amend
your ways and your doings,
   and I will cause you to dwell
in this place.
     Trust ye not in lying words,
Saying, The temple of the
     LORD, the temple of the LORD,
are these.
      Jeremiah 7:3-4

Amend your ways and your doings
