The City Where God Resides

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God
Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
And the city had no need of the sun, neither
of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of
God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light
thereof. And the nations of them which are saved
shall walk in the light of it: for the glory of God
did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
And the nations of them which are saved shall
walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth
do bring their glory and honor into it. And the
gates of it shall not be shut al all by day: for there
shall be no night there. And they shall bring the
glory and honor of the nations into it. And there
shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth
neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh
a lie: but they which are written in the
Lamb's book of life.
Revelation 21:22-27

The temple of God is where God resides and you are, that is, if you are an Authentic Christian, not meaning one who is seeking a Christianity built upon experiences and practices that are not to be found in Scripture, you are the temple of God: "and what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for y are the temple of the living God: as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people" (2Corinthian 6:16). The city of God, the place where the temple of God is, is you and as the city of God, the temple of God you must grow in sanctification: "in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit" (Ephesians 2:21-22). Once again there are symbols that we must address: i.e., the sun, the moon and the need for there to no need for them: why? For the glory of God is in His temple, that is, in you and you will not have need of anything more than the light of the knowledge of God and this knowledge gives to light. It is not that there will not be a physical sun or moon, no, this is not what is being addressed here for us, it is, that we no longer need light from anything, or anyone else, but God alone. No longer will the gates have to be shut so that false teaching and heresy will be able to not come into the temple of God, no, for now Satan, and all those whose names are not written in the book of life are no longer present. No abomination, nothing to defile the temple of God, you, and your name is written in the book of life. Your name was written in the book of life the moment you believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. This all should bring joy to you and give you such a hope, a thrill that God would save you, not for a short time, but for eternity.
We must notice that the "light" is from God, and is from Jesus making those two words: God, and Jesus, to be one and the same. Each Person of the Trinity has a function in the purpose of God but each of the Three are one and the same God, the Godhead. You have and can have a relationship with Jesus, now, in this life. All you have to do is to follow in His steps, and this means to deny yourself those things that will separate you from this relationship with Jesus. Let me be more clear: YOU HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD! Many others who believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, those witnesses aid us to fight the good fight of faith in Jesus Christ: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down on the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart" (Hebrews 12:1-3).
The next blog the last chapter of the Bible, the last chapter of the book of Revelation will be considered and you will find such happiness due to the promises of truth that you will find. You can now live in the happiness of those promises: you do not have to wait.
Our soul waiteth for the LORD:
He is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in Him,
because we have trusted in His
holy name. Let they mercy, O LORd,
be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
                           Psalm 33:20-22

Our joy is not in things, or experiences: but God alone
