Measuring Yourself A Mark Of Authentic Christian Faith

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ,
if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit,
if any bowels and mercies, fulfill ye My joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord,
of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem
other better tan themselves. Look not every
man on his own things, but every man also on
the things of others. Let this mind be in you
which was also in Christ Jesus: who being
in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be
equal with God: but made Himself of no reputation,
and took upon Him the form of a servant,
and was make in the likeness of men.
Philippians 2:1-7
Authentic Christian rule #1: it is essential that you keep your mind on Christ!
Rule #2: Prayer until it becomes like breathing for you!
Rule #3: Causing your content to become sensitive to your faulty desires!
Rule #4: Avoid idleness: strive to be and do all you can for Jesus Christ!
Rule #5: Run the race that has been set before you (Hebrews 12: 1 -- 2)!
Authentic Christians take the time to measure themselves to see how they are doing by keeping track of how they love God and their fellow human beings.  This principle is one in which all of our activities rest. I think the Christians are not of those who are so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good, rather they keep their eyes and have been angry flight these rules to show how they are becoming in the image of Jesus Christ and are being renewed each and every day.  Authentic Christians do this in love!
Cultural Christians do not understand this and as is found in those churches that are cultural the only way that they can feel godly is to do all kinds of antics, speaking in some sort of gibberish unknown language, to go about attempting to heal people, to live in a perfect life in this world, to live in a world of entertainment and excitement all with group euphoria.  This is something to be avoided!  Cultural Christians think that this is a positive way to worship God and yet there is nothing in Scripture that warrants these actions by cultural Christians.  Cultural Christians are always asking the wrong questions.  Cultural Christians and those who want to walk as close to the line is they can, like those who want to walk close to a fire only to find out that in time when those tongues of fire will reach out to them.  Cultural Christians do not want their actions challenged.  Why?  Because they only know these negative substitutes for Authentic Christian Faith.  While I set forth these rules these are not rules that are outside or war not warranted by Scripture.  Cultural Christians set forth rules that are not warranted by Scripture and by those unwarranted rules they attempt to control people telling them what they can or cannot do.  I believe the Bible does a very good job at telling us what we can do and what we cannot do and it is up to us to apply those rules of God in our life.  Authentic Christianity is not just a set of rules, it is a way of life.
Authentic Christians have a complete different outlook on Christian faith.  Authentic Christians find joy in their surfing their savior and lord Jesus Christ.  Authentic Christians do not just live lives of out of some heartless obligation to a punitive deity. authentic Christian find joy in blessings by the life that God has given to them, and life that all people can enjoy if they would only repent of their sins and believe the pond as Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.  Authentic Christians do not push the line to its utmost limits.  Authentic Christians are those who do not walk close to the line, do not walk close to the fire, for they stand far away from all of this and seek as possible as they can to get as close to Christ as they can.  Authentic Christians seek out like-minded friends with whom they can make this journey together.  What is great about having these bands are good authentic Christian friends is that they reinforce the work of God in each others' lives.  Great Authentic Christians are the first to see whether or not a person is beginning to decline spiritually.  Authentic Christians look forward to times of devotion and worship, time to infuse their faith with renewed vigor.  Authentic Christian Faith is filled with happiness.
Question: Do You Want That Happiness?  It can be yours!

What a man desires is unfailing love;
better to be poor than a liar.
The fear of the LORD leads to life:
     then one rest content, untouched
by trouble.
                Proverbs 19: 22 -- 23

Humble people in Christ find happiness
