What Does It Mean: You Are Anointed? To Do What?

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye 

have heard from the beginning. If that which 

ye have heard from the beginning shall remain 

in you, ye also shall continue in the Son and 

in the Father. And this is the promise that He 

hath promised us, even eternal life. These 

things have I written unto you concerning 

them that seduce you. But the anointing 

which ye have received of Him abideth in you, 

and ye need not that any man teach you:

 but as the same anointing teacheth you of all 

things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even 

as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.

1John 2:24-27

      What did you hear from the beginning? Was it a lie, or the truth. Was it a man's doctrine or the doctrine of the Gospel according to Scripture? This is important for many today are hearing preached a gospel that is not the Gospel. Paul wrote to warn us when he wrote to the Galatians: "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another, but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the Gospel of Christ" (Galatians 1: 6-7). If there be those who were perverting the Gospel of Christ there are those today as well that are perverting the Gospel of Christ. If anyone listens to the perversion of the Gospel then how can a person abide in the truth? They cannot! How can a person with a perverted gospel have communion with God, with Jesus Christ and with the leading of the Holy Spirit? They cannot! There are men and women who are attempting to seduce you, and that seduction is to lead you away from following Jesus Christ as Jesus outlined to be done. There is no Authenticity of Christianity in that which is a perversion of Authentic Christianity. 

      What has this peversion done? It has harmed the true Church of God and it has led our nation into corruption and a sin that is abhorrent to God and to any Authentic Christian. We are not holding fast the justice of God who is Just and demands justice. We abide in that which makes us feel good, godly, and acceptable to God. 

      WE NEED A REVIVAL IN THE CHURCH RETURNING IT TO GOD!  How can this be done? "If My peopel who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn f rom their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land" (2Chronicles 7:14).  Our Churches and our nation are need of prayer, in need of a spiritual revival. We need to come before our Great God and Savior and ask for forgiveness and to seek His direction and guidance. We have the word of God to lead us and while we need truthful preaching to aid us, we can know what God asks of us by means of His word. When the Gospel is perverted then all sorts of evil enters into the Church and into our nation and there is a loss of our spiritual equilibrium and have inverted our values. We need to come before God and confess that we have riduculed the absolute truth of His word and this in the name of moral pluralism and a teaching of inclusiveness, and multi-culturalism. Some Churches have accepted and endorsed perversion and called it an "alternative lifestyle." The poor have been exploited and there has and is a neglect of the needy and called it "self-preservation." We have rewarded the lazy in the name of being "good" by our welfare system that is broken and in need of repair. In the name of "choice" millions of unborn babies are killed and have whitewashed this evil in the name of "the right to life." 

     Follow the lie and all this evil will raise up its ugly head and even attempt to pervert God's children. This is the work of Satan who is beaten and defeated by the death of Jesus on the cross but is attempting to take with him all that he can before he is destroyed. We have lost our way! We are not abiding in Christ if we are one who is being led by the lies of the wicked. We need to come before our Righteous God and ask Him to search us, and to teach us how we are to remove the evil from our hearts and show us our evil ways if there be any in us, and to cleanse us from every sin and set us free.....make us whiter than snow.... this is His promise to do if you come to Him in true repentance. 

     WE NEED REVIVAL....... WE NEED IT NOW! This requires a renewed vision. we cannot just think that a renewal of the government will be enough, it will not, even though that is important for if there is no vision then the people perish (Proverbs 29:18). God can do the impossible but God works through means for we are not puppets, we are those who can bring revival and a renewal of spiritual morality, first to family, friends, and to our Church, and to our nation. We....not someone else....you....are the means...will you accept what God has given for you to do...bring the Gospel, the true Scriptural Gospel to the world and if so then you are abiding in God. 

     HUMBLE YOURSELF AND PRAY AND ACT FOR YOU ARE CALLED BY HIS NAME.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come,

     and the glory of the LORD is risen

upon thee. For, behold, the darkness

    shall cover the earth, and gross 

darkness the people; but the LORD

     shall arise upon thee, and His 

glory shall be seen upon thee. And

    the Gentiles shall come to thy

light, and kings to the brightness

    of thy rising.

             Isaiah 60:1-3
