What Does It Mean To Believe And What Is The Witness Of God?

If we receive the witness of men,
the witness of God is greater: for this
is the witness of God which He hath
testified of His Son. He that believeth
on the Son of God hath the witness in
himself: he that believeth not God hath
made Him a liar; because he believeth not
the record that God gave of His Son.
And this is the record, that God
 hath given to us eternal life, and
this life is in His Son. He that hath
 the Son hath life; and he that hath
not the Son of Go hath not life.
1John 5:9-12

     Yesterday's blog I attempted to prove that 1John 5:7-8 belongs in our Bibles. In fact, if those verses were not recorded then many other verses in other books of the Bible would have not meaning. The word "record" in verse seven has a connection to verses 9-12. What is that record that the Three in heaven witness too? In Jesus Christ eternal life is possible, possible for those who believe God who reveals to us this fact: Believe on the Son of God and you will also have the witness of the recorded words, the record: eternal life is yours. John under inspiration does not mince words and in all his writings Jesus is announced as the Only Begotten Son of God, and in fact is God Himself incarnate. Furthermore, the word "believeth" in the King James Bible is clear for to add "eth," is to make the verb to be a present tense verb that means continually, so to be a believer is to always believe.
     Some will say: "I believe." Really, even Satan believes so what does it mean to Believe according to the Greek word? The Greek word is: πιστεύων in verse 10 is a nominative singular masculine participle in the present tense from  πιστεύω and means to have faith upon, or with respect to, a person or thing and means not to just believe, but also to be persuaded of, and hence, to place confidence in, to trust, to have reliance upon, and here is the crux: not to just have mere credence, so it means to be committed. So, here in verse 10 the Greek word means to be presently, at all times, believing. The same verb form is used by John at 3:16 of the book of John. Anyone can just believe, but it takes a special connection to be committed.
     Here is a fact: You and I are not created beings! You are made from the dust of the ground! God created all that would be needed for things to exist, therefore by His creating you were able to be formed, and this form was to be human. God gave to man something He never gave to any other of His works: His image! On the other hand: Jesus Christ is not created either, but He is God's Only Begotten Son. Remember: to be begotten is to be of the same nature, same physicality, to be one with the One who begot. An angel would not be God's Only Begotten Son for an angel is made as you and I and all other things made. So it would be wrong to say that Jesus is just, even though special, an angel, and we all know from Scripture, angels can rebel. So would God who is Just and will have His justice satisfied, a debt owed to Him that man, even though in the image of God, man who has a fallen nature, would not be ensured that this debt would be paid. Therefore, God came Himself and this be sending His Wisdom to be a Man and to be God in the form of a man. Jesus could not sin as God, and could not sin even with a human soul for His soul was not from the line of Adam and if so then would carry the corruption caused by Adam. Yet, Jesus, as God in human flesh, would suffer all than man suffers. Jesus even though God/Man died on the cross with all the pain that any human would suffer and this not due to sin, but due to the sinfulness of man.
     This is the witness of God revealed to us in Scripture unadulterated and void of man's semantics, and presuppositions: you can have faith in the pure unadulterated word of God. So, if you have a faith, and are committed to Jesus Christ you have the witness about Jesus Christ and what Jesus Christ has done for all who believe upon Him as the Son of God, the Only Begotten Son of God. Believe this and you will have life, life eternal.
     No blog tomorrow as I will be traveling to the hospital in Sacramento to have a test to see if surgery will help me in my present situation. I could use your prayers for strength from God to endure the test as it is very painful, no pain meds will be used. My trust and commitment is to God but I do know that God answers prayers. I do hope that the doctors will have the answers so I can go forward in whatever is necessary. Thank You!

LORD, I cry unto thee:
     make haste unto me;
give ear unto my voice,
    when I cry unto thee.
Let my prayer be set forth
    before thee as incense;
and the lifting up of my hands
    as the evening sacrifice.
                 Psalm 141:1-2

Be committed unto our Savior Jesus Christ
