Justification By Faith: Not Works!

Therefore He who supplies the spirit to you
and works miracles among you,
does He do it by the works of the law,
or by the hearing of faith? --
just as Abraham "believed God,
and it was accounted to him
for righteousness."  (Genesis 15: 6).
Therefore know that only those
who are of faith are sons of Abraham.
Galatians 3: 5 -- 7

Paul after reproving the Galatians for not obeying the truth, proceeds to prove the doctrine that he preached and had censured them with for rejecting this truth; that justification is by faith with out the works of the law.  Works never are the means for God's justification; justification is only by faith and that faith given to a person by God.  Earlier in Chapter 2 of Galatians verse 20: "The Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me."  The battle for a Christian is a battle with our moods.  And our mood needs to be molded even if through a battle to become absolutely devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ, and to do this we must get out of the way, to get out of this thinking in regards to our business of our experience and turn this into an abandonment of devotion to Him.  Take a moment and think about this, what does the New Testament say about Jesus Christ?  What does the New Testament say will Jesus Christ is, and then think of the despicable meanness of the miserable faith we have -- you might be saying I haven't had this or that experience!  Too often, we are seeking an experience hoping that that will make us feel like "good" Christian.  The fact is it is just simply faith in bad faith is in what Jesus Christ claims that claim is that He can present as faultless before the throne of God, and this means that we will become on utterly pure, completely and absolutely rectified and profoundly.  We all are going to stand before the throne of God and give an account of our life whether you were a Christian or not and would not be good to hear Jesus say: "His Lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.  Enter into the joy of your Lord" (Matthew 25:21).  This should cause you to shudder: "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.  And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.  And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books" (Revelation 20: 12).  Yes, it does say that we will be judged according to our works and what is the greatest work that we should desire to be judged by?  Is it not that our faith and our life is totally abandoned in devotion to our Savior Jesus Christ who loved you and gave himself up that for you?  Yes, we will be judged by according to what we have done in regards to the truth and the commands of God.  Abraham did not shrink tax when God commanded him to move forward in an act that we would deem horrible: that is to take his son to the mountain and kill him.  Abraham didn't argue with God for his faith and his abandonment was to God, therefore, he picked up all that he needed for the trip, including his son, and took them to the mountain to sacrifice him as God commanded.  Abraham was justified by faith, and as a narrative goes, God provided a substitute sacrifice for his son but this did not occur until Abraham was fully committed to kill his son.  And Paul confirms this, for he states that the promise made to Abraham, that we find in Genesis 12: 3, and reference to them as well: "and the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith preach the gospel to Abraham before hand, saying,’ in That you all the nations shall be blessed. So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham" (Galatians 3: 8 -- 9).  Brothers and sisters, stand in implicit adoring faith in Him, for he has made unto us" wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption."  How is it then that we can talk of making a sacrifice for the Son of God?  It is because our salvation is from hell and perdition, and then we can talk about making sacrifices.  We have to get out into faith in Jesus Christ continually, not a moment by moment, not questioning what Jesus Christ has clearly commanded us and taught us, it is not in a prayer meeting, whereby you meet Jesus Christ, nor is it in a book about Jesus Christ.  It is in the New Testament Jesus Christ, Who is God incarnate, and Who must be the One from Whom our experience springs.  We can never experience Jesus Christ, nor ever hold Him within the compass of our own hearts, but our faith must be built in wrong in fatty confidence in Him.  How then can any Christian who is identified with Jesus Christ suffer from doubt or fear?  There should be and ought to be, an absolute pæon of perfectly irrepressible, triumphant belief.  God justifies heathens by faith and Abraham and his the calm which is Jesus Christ, not the Jews only, but the Gentiles also, then should be blessed, not only blessed in the seed of Abraham, but blessed as Abraham being justified as he was.  It is those who are of faith that are true Authentic Christians.  Here then is shown that we cannot be justified by anything other than faith and this by fastening on the gospel.  Not works: "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written,’ Cursed is every one who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the Law, to do them.  But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for ‘the just shall live by faith.’" (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; 3: 28).  Our faith and our own obedience to the commands found in God's Word the Bible, and the call of God, is manifested by works and when we do those works there is nothing to really commend this about, for we are only doing what is asked of us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Continue to do the good works, but, examine all things ensure yourself that all that you are doing is because of your utter complete devotion to Jesus Christ.

He shall call to the heavens from above,
and to the earth, that He may judge
His people: gather My saints together to Me,
those who have made a covenant with
Me by sacrifice.  Let the heavens declare
            His righteousness,
for God Himself is Judge.
