These are wells without water, clouds that
are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist
of darkness is reserved for ever. For when they
speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure
through the lusts of the flesh, through much
wantonness, those that were clean escaped from
them who live in error. While they promise
them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome,
of the same is he brought in bondage. For if after
they have escaped the pollutions of he world
through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein,
and overcome, the latter end is worse with them
than the beginning. for it had been better for
them not to have known the way of righteousness,
than, after they have known it, to turn from the
holy commandment delivered unto them.
2Peter 2:17-20
Question: who are the these that Peter is speaking about? Chapter 2 and verse one speaks of false prophets and these false prophets are to be found among the Christian Church. This should give us a warning to examine all things as Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:21. I find often that leaders of the church do not like to when people begin to question doctrines and practices of her church. I find this hard to understand since that is a command of God for us to do this examination therefore not to be led astray by these false prophets. Not all pastors and leaders of the church are false prophets, in fact, most are not, and have a desire to teach the truth but unfortunate for some doctrine and creeds and practices set forth a litmus test as to whether or not a person is an Authentic Christian. When you find at the pastors speaking from Scripture and according to Scripture be sure to let that pass to know that you appreciate the fact that he's holding fast to the Word of God. Is this not what Peter said was not being done and by saying that he is saying that it is that which should be done? Yes! It is when the culture of this world has infected, he invaded the church that church begins to fall away into creeds and doctrines and practices that are not a Scripture. It is not that creeds are wrong, or that doctrine is wrong in fact, they can lead us to the Scripture but we must never forget that Scripture is the ruling factor in everything that is being taught to us.
We find pastors today have a major impact, not only within the church, but also within the nation. Therefore, it is important that these pastors and leaders of the church at here to Scripture, that which is being taught by the apostles, prophets, the commands and three steps found and inspired by God in Scripture. It is a win these false prophets who have the ability to sway audiences, to be eloquent speakers, and who promote radical ideas of old BD ends and even self-denial, we're not talking about the denial that Jesus Christ asked us to follow and do, rather such as those who hold fast to celibacy or into some sort of fasting, or giving up monies are properties as though what they're doing is authentic. The problem is with all of this the majority of nominal Christians do not think much about their faith or take time to study the Bible, therefore, it is not surprising that they are not familiar with the very foundational tenets of Authentic Christian Faith. The truth that they stand for stand in stark contrast to the Bible that stands in stark contrast to the culture of this world. How often do you or have you turned on the TV and see these preachers shouting and screaming and wiping her forehead was swept being in and people falling over backwards in people is gibberish in some sort of language and these people are preaching pride a form of pride that is anti-Christian. They are preaching luxury, prosperity, and conformity to the culture. it seems as though some clergy, even though they want to stand firm for Authentic Christianity, they seem to be afraid to tread upon the subjects, or to try to answer the questions of their people, and they're preaching is more towards the crowd then it is towards teaching salvation.
Many people just away from the church seeking truth and unfortunately are seeking and seeking it in all the wrong places. It is not that people will come directly out into the open in and deny their Christian faith for they know that this would be so socially unacceptable. that they might go so far as to claim the Bible is not anything but a book made up by men, and unfortunately those who are making such comments are often ignorant of Scripture and its contents. If we put them on the spot many will confess that they do not believe many of the central tenets that the Bible teaches. This is where a free can be hopeful when we see that this creed is based on the truth of Scripture and is only a kid dancing of the Christian faith. But this does not mean we do not believe the Bible sitting on a shelf, we open it, we read it, we pray about it, and we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in His word. well-known throw out your creeds, and examined them, and examine the doctrine of the church.
As Christianity goes in the world, so goes the nation, a country where there are is a state of spiritual decline. If Christianity is based upon the truth of the Bible and those who are claiming to be Authentic Christians and who are holding fast to Authentic Christian Faith, then the nation improves, if not the nation declines. All that is left in Christianity does not hold fast to Authenticity what is left is a weak and impotent version of Christianity. A person who has become impotent in their Christianity does not talk about their personal faith and religion and even go so far as to see it as a sign of a weak mind. When the current state of Christianity becomes this way and belief itself will become fashionable.
The love of God is so great for He came to pay for the sin of the world, a debt that none of us could take, and He did it not because you are worth the come nor has He come because you have done something so great that he must come, no, God in Himself is love, is merciful, is just, is forgiving when and this forgiveness is by His coming to earth, sending forth His wisdom, the second person of the Trinity, to pay what you and I cannot pay. guy did not separate himself, making more than one God, no the Godhead made up of the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, are One, and God who is the creator of the whole universe certainly has the ability to send His Wisdom into the body of a man, through birth, to do His will and that will is to save all who put their belief and faith in the One who He sent forth Jesus Christ. Have you put your faith and have repented of your sins? Is Jesus Christ, God and Man in the flesh, your Savior? I pray that the Holy Spirit will press upon your heart and soul in your mind to do just that, repent, put your faith upon the Lord Jesus Christ, and if you do you will be saved.
