Who Is This One Sitting On The Throne?

And when those beasts give glory and honour
and thanks to Him that sat on the throne,
who liveth forever and ever, the four and
twenty elders fall down before Him that sat
on the throne, and worship Him that liveth
forever and ever, and cast their crowns
before the throne, saying Thou art worthy,
O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things, and for thy
pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 4:9-11

In the last blog I attempted to clarify the word "beasts," so that no one will use this word as if it means to be some Halloween gory being that is scary, rather that the Greek word means a living animal, a life. Honor and glory are given to the One sitting on the throne, so we must once again determine who is the One sitting on the throne. The One sitting on the throne is worthy to receive glory and honor, and power: why? The One sitting on the throne is said to be the One who created all things. Scripture interprets Scripture so we must find where Scripture speaks of something being created. The first verse of the Bible states: "In the beginning God created the heavens and earth" (Genesis 1:1).This is clear: there was a beginning and God was the one to begin all things, those in heaven and those on the earth. The apostle John give more clarity as to the beginning and who was the One who created all things: "In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and God was the Word" (John 1:1). There was a beginning and Jesus is said to be with God in the beginning: note this: there is not one word in Scripture that states that God first created Jesus, and then used Jesus, in this case an angel, to create all things. John clarifies more for us on this subject: "He was in the beginning with God. All things through Him came into being, and without Him came into being not even on (thing) which has come into being" (John 1:2-3). Here again we must look closely at what was written for John is telling us that by Jesus all things came into being and that NOTHING , NOT EVEN ONE, came into being. Therefore, by the very words of Scripture we cannot adhere to the doctrine of the Mormons and the Jehovah Witnesses that state that Jesus is a created being, and angel to be used by God in some fashion. Lets add more: "In the world He was, and the world through Him came into being, and the world knew Him not" (John 1:10). The world here is referencing man not just the physical world. Jesus is the One sitting on the throne and the throne represents all the power and authority, of God for it is also stated that God is sitting on the throne as Job so stated: "He holdeth back the face of His throne, and spreadeth His cloud upon it" (Job 26:9). Scripture then adds: "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre;" " God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of His holiness" (Psalm 45:6; 47:8). Matthew adds: "but I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne" (Matthew 5:34). If then God sits on His throne, and Jesus is said to sit on this throne, then we have no other conclusion that Jesus is not One and the Same as God, and is in fact a person of the Godhead, therefore, Jesus is God. So now, as God, He has all authority to receive praise and honor, and glory and this is being done by those 24 elders before the throne of God. As I pointed out in the last blog those 24 elders are representation of both the Old Testament Hebrews and the New Testament Christians for now they are one, not separate.
The 24 elders are praising God and they represent all Authentic Christians for as Authentic Christians praise to God is foremost in all we do and say for it God who saves and this by His coming in the Person of Jesus Christ, sending His Wisdom to become flesh just to save, save you and all you have to do is to believe, put your faith and trust in the One who created all things and by His creation you exist. By His creation you have eternity set before you, and this is a free gift, you cannot earn it, but you can accept it and this by accepting Jesus Christ as you Savior. Now, some will object for you to choose to be saved, but what else can you do, by choose, choose by the hearing of the word of God and by this God is calling, calling you and by His word He is placing in you what you are to do to be saved: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved: Now! Go and tell others about the One sitting on the throne, the One who created all things, the One who will save a person. God is calling: He that has ears to hear: let him/her hear!

Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of His,
and give thinks at the rembembrance
of His holiness.
                    Psalm 30:4

Bring praise and glory to God
