Returning To Authentic Christianity

And in this confidence I intended to come to you before,
 that you might receive a second benefit –
to pass by way of you to Macedonia,
to come again from Macedonia to you, and be helped by you
on my way to Judea.
2 Corinthians 1: 15 -- 16

            Well, Vacation Bible School is over and all had a great time the children and the instructors not only by the crafts and the games they played, but by hearing the word of God being taught how to live from this early age as a Christian.  I look forward to doing this again but until then; we have work to do this is to continue our study of God's Word.
            Paul as one of the apostles who was appointed by the Holy Spirit, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote to various churches and Christians throughout the Roman and Greek areas including Macedonia and did so because there was need within those congregations.  Paul did not simply write prose for prose is simply an ordinary form of either spoken or written language as distinguished from poetry or verse.  It is a matter of fact commonplace even a dull expression or quality or discourse and this certainly was not what Paul did for the antonym to prose is truth.  Paul wrote truth! Paul with all the love that he had in Jesus Christ and his feelings for those to whom he especially took time to educate in regards to the Gospel wrote those words to clear up contradictions, contentions, and even heretical views and return the readers of his letters to Authentic Christianity.  As often happens within the body of believers in the churches the need for greater and more mystical and euphoric worship needs also to be corrected and the body of believers brought back to the simple gospel.  This is not easy!  One must address certain problems directly, forthrightly.  All in the love of Jesus Christ, and this does not mean to be some milk toast type of Christian leader.  At times to be firm is needed and all with one thing in mind and that is to return a Christian who is failing back into the body of Christ as an Authentic Christian. When we fail to allow Jesus Christ to be our guide and leader and at times it means to depend upon a leader but there is always a time that you must stand by yourself.  If you are not allowing God to be your leader and guide then you do not have correct intentions in regards to God.  Often times when there are contentions and divisions within the congregation between the members or certain members of the congregation there is a loss of fellowship.  This loss of fellowship is so that you place all responsibility upon yourself and if you do so then you must test what you have learned and this is done by following scriptural principles in this regard of devising contentions between the congregants.  You see when you try to stand up all alone by yourself without aid of others which are times you must do leaves you open to have a strong disinclination to take the initiative to trust in God and often your desire to leave the initiative for your needs for others to care for it for you.  This this is not remaining true to what you have learned.  When we are struggling and are at our wits end, we are at the beginning of God's wisdom.  When you feel inclined to succumb to panic, don't; pray to do God and He will bring His truth out in a way that will make your life a sacrament.  Put into practice what you've learned, and this learning is often simply from your pastor and other leaders but do not forget to study and pray.  Determine for yourself to trust in God and this often you must do alone.
            Paul was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write to the Corinthian church who were undergoing many things that were contrary to Scripture and he felt the need to come once again to teach them a second time.  This that would be a second benefit for them than they have not been left alone and Paul would receive some help from them on his way to Judea.  Paul's intentions were founded upon the confidence of the good opinions from the Corinthian Christians and also by this letter to attempt and to aid them to believe him when he declared that he really intended to come to them received further advantage from his ministry.  Paul was resolute in his intention that he had taken and he had laid plans to do this: "Therefore, what I was planning this, did I do it lightly?  Or are the things I plan do I plan according to the flesh, that was me there should be Yes, Yes, and No and No?  But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No.  For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us -- by me, Silvanus, and Timothy -- was not Yes And No, but in Him was Yes" (2 Corinthians 1: 17 -- 19).  As Authentic Christians we should be careful to preserve the reputation and our sincerity and constancy and we should not resolve by simplicity, rather on the mature deliberation so that you will not change your resolve unless there an absolute and weighty reason.  Our Lord and God have every right to expect that His children who name His Name should have understanding in regards to their confidence in Him.  We do not want to just trust God on certain points or difficult situations, for if this is true then we are people of little thing. Our faith then would be small.  Paul cared for the Christians at Corinth and desired to give them attention personally and return them to Authentic Christian Faith.  If you are in the same situation turn to God's Word, turn to leaders that are actually following God's Word to give you assistance for as one of His ambassadors and witness to the Gospel this is to hold God as the priority even in times of crisis.

As for God, His way is perfect;
            the word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

God will lift you up
