Running To Foreigners

Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples;
Ephraim is a cake unturned.
aliens have devoured his strength,
But he does not know it;
Yes, gray hairs are here and
there on him, yet he does not know it.
And the pride of Israel testifies t his face,
but they do not return to the LORD their God,
nor seek Him for all this.
Ephraim also is like a silly dove,
without sense––they call to Egypt,
they go to Assyria.
                                                                     Hosea 7:9–11
            These words of Hosea apply aptly to our generation for many who call themselves Christian have mixed with society which is in opposition to Him, and His commands. The strength of their faith fails them for they allow this mixture of clay mud with the iron of Scripture whereby they allow what is clearly spoken against in Scripture: i.e., homosexuals to be priests, to have full communion, the acceptance of abortion and more but this mixture is deeper than these things for they have mixed with this world in their hedonistic practices. This mixture of this fallen world with Christianity can be found whereby Christians watch such horrendous events such as MMA where men pound upon each other as if this is important and many so–called Christians would admit that it is ok it is only a sport. Sports are fine under certain regulations, football, basketball, and swimming, running all good sports when done properly and without malice towards one another. This is not true of violent sports where one man would beat the other senseless, but this has gone on so long, it is as if time, or gray hairs have allowed all these anti–Christian events to exist and have approval. To tacitly, or by outright approval, give approval is due to their ignorance or refusal to follow God’s word. The Sabbath is forgotten when games happen on the Sabbath and a person, who calls himself a Christian attends and leaves behind any sanctity of God’s command to keep the Sabbath holy. In time there is such approval and this is due to the fact that they have or will not return to their Lord and God. Furthermore, they reach out to other forms of thought, ideologies, theologies that have been so influenced by men who, while speak of a god(s), have some good advice, which then become a major portion of their thinking in regards to God. As Ephraim did when they felt that they would be attacked and destroyed reached out to Egypt, to Assyria for help instead or returning to the LORD. They could have gone back and joined with their brothers in Judah; but they did not they go out to foreigners for help. This is so true today when people cannot understand the why of a thing they do not return to the truth of God’s word, they find that men such as Plato, Plontius, DesCartes, Hume, Kant, and others who are in the least anti–God and in the most Atheist. These people do not know and have not been taught what is true and what is false. They have no understanding as to how the Church has become so polluted with sin; they listen to what sounds correct, without taking the time to know what God’s word says about an issue. It is not that Christians are to become ascetic, or monastic, or stoic, for there is life to be lived, there is things that a person’s talents must and should be used for the betterment of their families, and society as a whole. Yet, they must not forget their God and do all that they do in harmony with His word. Is it easy? NO! Do we have help? YES! But to not return is to only have God’s disapproval and His chastisement: “Wherever they go, I will spread My net on them; I will bring them down like birds of the air; I will chastise them according to what their congregation has heard. Woe to them, for they have fled from Me! Destruction to them, because they have transgressed against Me! Though I redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me. They did not cry out to Me with their heart when they wailed upon their beds. They assemble together for grain and new wine, they rebel against Me though I disciplined and strengthened their arms, yet they devise evil against Me; they return, but no to the Most High; they are like a treacherous bow. Their princes hall fall by the sword for the cursing of their tongue. This shall be their derision in the land of Egypt” (Hosea 7:12–16).
            When the truth is spoken; will you recognize it and if so, will you then change from the inside out, to return to Authentic Biblical Faith? This is the crux of these blogs. To teach what has taken away people to a belief system that is not Scriptural. To aid in our return to God, and not suffer the chastisement that God has promised to those who seek other gods (sports, or entertainment, especially that entertainment that has homosexuals as stars or players, that have adulterous people as stars, that teach what is not Scriptural) will you turn off the TV, forego movies that are not of God, rather they are foreign to God and are of the teachings of men who do not believe in the true God, Jehovah, that Jesus is God and is the Savior, that there is the Holy Spirit, all of the same essence, the Godhead. This life is temporal and we think that we will live forever, at least that is the sum of our actions. Yet, for change to occur there must be an understanding of the situation that is to be found among Christians, and their places of worship. Do not be a senseless dove and return to God and take the time to come to an understanding. This will take effort and time but in the end there will be profit.
            Neoplatonism and Platoism, along with other philosophies and ideologies have invaded and infected the Church and this will I will continue to point out in the next blogs. Until then, decide: who will you live for? God, or man.

Therefore, Come out form among them
            And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean, and I will
            Receive you. I will be a Father
To you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,
            Says the LORD Almighty.
                                    2Corinthians 6:17–18 (cf. Is. 52:11; 2Sam. 7:14)
