What Is This Thing Called: Licentiousness?

Whereas angels, which are greater in power 

and might bring not railing accusation against 

them before the Lord. But these, as natural 

brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed 

speak evil of the things that they understand not; 

and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 

and shall receive the reward of unrighteousness,

as they that count it pleasure to riot in the 

daytime. Spots they are and blemishes, 

sporting themselves with their own deceivings 

while they feast with you; having eyes 

full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; 

beguilling unstable souls: an heart they have 

exercised with covetous practices; 

cursed children: which have forsaken the right way,

 and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam

 the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of 

unrighteousness; but was rebuked for his iniquity: 

the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad 

the madness of the prophet.

     This word: "licentious" is seldom used today in everyday speech and even use sparingly by pastors but this word is important to understand. This word's definition is to be sexually unrestrained, to be libertine, that is, to be a person who is morally or sexually unrestrained. Further it means to go beyond customary or proper bounds of limits. Those who follow after licentious living have giving themselves up to the conduct of their own fleshly minds. Furthermore, those who are unrestrained or libertine are those who pour contempt on those who follow God as they do not want to hear that they are disobedient to the Creator and will not come under the authority God has given to the Church. Those who follow after sinfulness are those who do not want to be told that they cannot do whatever they want to do or be; they want to be in antinomy, to be autonomous. Yet, as in such things as "gay pride" marches and festivals where many sport as much nakedness as possible, look abnormal in dress and in makeup do so to be militant and to somehow proved that they are not abnormal, just another normal. These people deceive themselves and even have gained support for their abnomalilty and celebrities, even government officials dine witht them, feast with them. They believe the lie of inclusiveness, and diversity that is being promoted in our Universities, and schools of all age. 

     Licentiousness, friends with benefits, loose sexual behavior has led to such horrific things as in abortion, whereas, the rate of abortion with the increase in loose living has gone from 71 in 1933; 706 in 1944; 193491 in 1970; 1,553,890 in 198; 1,608,620 in 2000.

 The Alan Guttmacher Institute (a special affiliate to Planned Parenthood), which actively collects the abortion data directly from providers.  All numbers reported are voluntary; there are no laws requiring abortionists to report to any national agency the numbers of abortions they perform. 2009-2011 are estimates of 1,212,400 annually. 

Why do women have abortions?

• 74% say having a baby would interfere with work, school, or other responsibilities.
• 73% say they cannot afford to have a child.
• 48% say they do not want to be a single parent, or have relationship problems with husband or partner.

Less than 2% say they became pregnant as a result of rape or incest.

     These statitics definitely show that licentiousness has cause the deaths of millions of babies, humans, not just some tissue, but humans with all that makes up a human. What is more telling as to how awful this sin is is by the reasons why women get abortions. Men, you are just as responsible for it by you that women get pregnant. Men often just walk away from their responsibility to their offspring in the womb. 
     These statistics about abortion is one facet of licentiousness, incarceration have increased from less than a hundred per 100,000 population to just under 1,000 per 100,000 population with many incarcerated for illegal drugs, selling and using: the story goes on and I do not have time in this blog to bring all the statistics showing what licentious living and a licentious culture as done here in the United States. 
     Licentious people, those covetous people have forsaken the right way, which is a self-denying way. They have strayed from the way of life and even gone the way of Balaam. What is the way of Balaam? It is as he did for he forsake the way of the love of riches and a desire for unwarranted honor and turned for his duty even though he knew the way of Jehovah. Balaam was restrained albeit he did all he could to get out from under this restraint for his desire was for what the world could offer him: riches, honor, prestige, to be welcomed as just one of them. 
     Authentic Christians: get out from them, be at a distance from this world and fear a licentious profession. Do not be unstable and do not be beguiled by such people who excerise sin and do not seek success outside the will of God. The day is coming when all will be judged by what they have said and done and whether or not that person as truly become an Authentic Christian or is that person just a nominal (name only) Christian. Life and death is end of this judgment. 

Hear us, O our God, for we are

    them over as plunder in a land

    guilt or blot out their sins from

   insults in the face of the builders.
