Where Is This Preaching About Sin?

I charge thee therefore before God, and the

 Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick

 and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 

preach the word; be instant in season, 

out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with 

all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time 

will come when they will not endure sound 

doctrine; but after their own lusts shall

 they heap to themselves teachers having

 itching ears; and they shall turn away their 

ears from the truth, and shall be 

turned unto fables.

2Timothy 4:1-4 

     The warning of Paul as to false teachers should give to us much concern about the possibility to destroy Authentic Christian Faith. God is in control for this is His world, His creation, and His people, those who have put their true faith and belief in His Son Jesus Christ have the assurance that Authentic Christian Faith will not be destroyed. No, it will not be destroyed but it will be affected by those who have desires, lusts, to teach what is not what Jesus told us to preach. When the Church is affected (you are the Church) then the Gospel is "watered" down to the point that will "scratch" the ears of those who want to be saved but they want it their way and not the way of the Gospel. Those people who love to hear the "good" things about life, to do things that are openly against the Gospel and not bringing people to the place where they actually accept the fact that they need, not just a Savior, but the Savior that is revealed to us in Scripture, they ordain those preachers that will give to them what they want. The culture of this world is now much of the culture of many Churches and this has led to a liberal Christianity. In the preaching of liberal Christianity there is a loss of the consciousness of sin. This was not true from the starting point of all preaching, but today, it is gone for the most part. Liberal Christianity preaches the "goodness" of man and puts confidence in that "goodness." The literature of today has the sweetness, a pleasant odor to the senses as to the confidence in the "goodness" of man. Yes, many give self-sacrifice in some service to God, to their Church, and some are Authentic in their sacrifice, but far too many have as their foundation that by this sacrifice, this duty to God is a foundation built upon the hope of society. What this means is that this world's evil can be overcome with the world's good, no help is needed from outside the world. In actuality: God is really not needed, although He may be attested too He is not the foundation, man's "goodness" is what is needed most and most services are built upon that ideology. 

     Question: What has become of the consciousness of sin? This consciousness of sin has certainly been lost. What has removed it from the hearts of men?

     It is possible that war has something to do with this loss, with this change in the preaching of salvation. Maybe, just maybe our attention has been drawn to the sins of other people and we have lost or forgotten our own sins. Yes we must contend with the sin of others, but not at the loss of Authentic Christian Faith in preaching. The Gospel is not about have a great and good life in this world, no, it is about sin and the fact that God has entered into the world to destroy sin. This He has done upon the cross. This world has come to the place where it is doing all it can to obscure to the individual, personal guilt, that they have a personal character of guilt. 

     This loss of  consciousness of sin is more that something that occurred do to war or even other things that have happened for it has its roots in a spiritual process, one that is so great for it has been very active in the last 150 years. You may not have seen this happening for it has happened silently and has achieved its results before man became aware that it is taking or has taken place. What is this change? Paganism is substituted for Authentic Christianity and has become a way of life for many. Think upon this: In spite of its inconsistencies in Western civilization Christianity held the prominent place, but now paganism has become prominent. Look at the so-called Christian Churches where abortion is given a green light, or that homosexuals can be leaders in the Church, or has allowed illegals to find refuge although they are criminals. Divorce is at an all time high, more than that, men and women are able to live together without marriage. Oh, nice preaching, good sounding words, but not an inch of preaching about sin and the need to repent of sin. This brings in a lot of people and with people comes money, and with money many so-called Christian preachers are living a "high" life. All the while, many children, men, and women are suffering and we say: "oh, that is terrible" but we do nothing but we go to Church, we do service to God and we feel that we are "good" people and yet: THERE IS NOT ONE OUNCE OF AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN FAITH, Jesus has become their benefactor but not their Savior. 

      When will you become a cause of change that will bring back to you, to your Church Authentic Christian Faith? When will people hear about sin, and about their need to repent? Do not allow yourselves to be carried away be a gospel that is not the Gospel. 

And David said unto God, I have

     sinned greatly, because I have

done this thing: but now, I beseech

     Thee, do away the iniquity of Thy

servant; for I have done very foolishly.
